As a freshman in high school, I was very excited to come to UD. Since arriving here, I have met a ton of great people, but am really beginning to become fed up with the administration. Teachers are uncooperative, course work is excessive at times, and the school has become excessively strict in terms of drinking/partying.

If choosing UD for engineering, only go if you are going for chemical. The other disciplines are not industry strong. YOu will not find employment after graduation. UD has the worst career center. If you want to work retail there are tons of jobs posted. Well one could do that out of high school. My degree wasn't worth the paper stock it was printed on.

I have had nothing but issues since I came to this school. Since I didn't come in with many AP credits, my class scheduling time will always be after my mechanical engineering peers. This means, I will have the worst professors at the worst times of the day throughout my entire college experience. After 4 semesters, I have yet to actually pick a professor and a time slot. There are tons of professors who do not actually want to teach because they are here solely for research, especially in the math department. The school prides itself on the quality of their research program here but that simply means undergraduates will be learning from very intelligent researchers who don't care about teaching. However, the engineering professors I have had so far are very friendly and are actually here to build the next generation of engineers. I have been forced to take courses online through a community college just to fulfill my other requirements that the University has not allowed me to take. Apart from the education, the housing department hasn't been too friendly recently. In my case, my dog has nowhere to stay so I am forced to move off campus so I can keep him with me. However, I was told that I will still have to pay them $5,800 whether or not I live in my dorm again next semester. I could go on for paragraphs about how frustrated I am with this school about so many other topics but I think I've made my point. If I could transfer at this point, I would but I'm too far in.
