I'm on a full academic scholarship and I'm transferring out to a school where I'm gonna pay full price. The dorm life is way too strict, no co-ed visitation and freshman curfew. The cafeteria hours are horrible and the food is only passable. Students within the class don't even seem like they want to be there they are loud, rude and obnoxious. They have absolutely no respect for authority. They outright and openly insult professors in class. If you have the choice, take my advice, don't come to cookman. The work given here is not worth the money my parents worked for. You'd think that in coming to this university, that these individuals would treasure the history Mrs. Bethune worked so hard to build. Instead, every two weeks there's a fight, and the kids (as I like to call them) have no respect for themselves, each other, and definitely not their elders. Financial aid refuses to do their job, and is only eager to get individuals out of the building as soon as possible. While, the teachers are great, and helpful I don't think anyone could pay me to put up with this magnitude of idiocracy. They also fail to mention that they are only accredited in Nursing and Business, so unless these are the two fields which interests you refrain from coming here, and even then, DON'T! When I was at BCC I am a Brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and I had a time of my life with my Fellow Greeks (When Greek Unity was not a Front or Competition). My dorm has roaches and mice. The financial aide looses your money, and messes up scholarhsips. I have seen dog food that looks than any thing served in the cafeteria.
