I was in the school of graduate medical sciences, I would rathe not specify which part (anatomy, podiatry, physician assistant) but DO NOT GO HERE. From the second I was admitted I had problems with the university and should have turned away. There are rarely any helpful people, the campus is not pretty and I lived a block away and had my house broken into. Oh, and they will suck your wallet dry. Trust me and the other people leaving feedback, you do not want to go here. Do not waste your money or your time and especially your sanity.

I did not enjoy Barry at all. I felt no connection with anything or anyone. Faculty was piss poor with the exception of a very small few. The worst was the administration. I was given the run around everytime I called and usually had to talk to some work-study with a very bad attitude. Graduation for grad students is a joke and not worth your time as it is combined with the undergrads and there is no difference in a grad or undergrad. But you might as well go because they charge you the fee regradless if you attend or do not. I do not recommend this school for anyone seeking anything other than a quick graduate degree program. I do not feel like I learned anything more here than I already had at my undergraduate institution. Just a degree.

This is not a real college. People will say, "it's what you make of it," but that's ludicrous. I transfered from Barry to UM, and would say that the experience is quite different. Barry is a "private school" by name, but it is nothing short of your basic middle school. The surrounding area is quite ghetto, and venturing off at night around campus is dangerous. Take it from me, yes you'll be in Miami with tons to do, but do not waste your money to come to this shitty school. Think about this... if you apply for a job against someone from a nationally recognized university, such as Florida State, most likely the person hiring is going to have no clue what Barry University is. Remember college is all about the experience you have while receiving an education. You will neither have a great experience here nor will you receive a good education. GO TO A REAL COLLEGE!
