The only warning I would give to incomming students is that the actual neighbourhood surrounding the school is not that attractive. It is close to little Haiti which does not give it a high appeal. The school itself however is a really beautiful school and a great experience.

The professors are probably the best part of Barry. They're happy to talk with you during and after class. The downfall at Barry is administration. They make plenty of mistakes and can be hard to contact. When it's a busy time of year or lunchtime, that's an excuse for being shortstaffed. The longer you're here, the more you'll notice. Also, the food is relatively low quality compared to most other universities. This may be a private school, but there isn't enough money to go around. Overall, I'm very happy with some aspects, but very dissapointed with others.

I came from a good high school and was an OK student. Barry offered me a scholorship but I didn't find out much about the school before entering. The people are friendly but the school is run by a very disorginized beauacracy. The departments do not communicate, and the chain of command regaurding student life and emergencies is corupt. I would reccomend Students seek out better school where education is key and students are not as hihg. It seems that over 50% of the campus smokes pot and drinks. The small size is nice but the university is nicknamed by most of the students " barely" university. Please try and find a better institution for youself before you are suckered into comming here for the diversity and all that bs.
