Read this carefully. The faculty is hand-selected from either a web of connections based on not bringing trouble (or radical opinions) or from the community after a long time of not brining trouble in their jobs. There are no counter opinions, choices or other ways of thinking. There are no top researchers. Faculty performance is based on how much they can be molded and do as others in the schools or departments do. Theres a lot of attention put on "midwestern" values and the administration will do just about anything outside those to keep things running as they are. Difficulties getting a doctorates finished are contrived and obstacles put in front (delayed on purpose) not there by the nature of what it takes to finish anything. Caring is replaced with covering my ass. if you decide to go, do your work, keep your nose clean, sneak away and get out. Read this carefully. This is in just about every university and college in America today. A degree from Barry can make you a top administrator in any business or school, in MIAMI. That is the same in every city. You can run but you can not hide. The good news is you don't have to do any of it.

This is not a party school, if you are coming to this school in hopes to live an amazing miami/college life just like in the movies...don't come. I really love this school, it is great for my career however, many people dislike it NOT because they aren't learning, the professors are great. They dislike it because they don't party enough. keep that in mind.

Barry U where you belong! Ok lets look at this. They have a high acceptance rate, Reason being there so expensive you last 1 semster and they have to find a new body to fill you spot. The Finacial aid personal read from a script I swear. They dont commuincate with the students at all the leave it to a work study lacky to do it. Res Life if you leave fall semster and dont return spring they charge you for spring housing 4300 dollars even though you aren't registered. I lived in flood hall 7 dorm room break ins they cops had the guts to ask one of the students if he did it just to claim insurance! They didnt take finger prints ask anyother students if they seen anything or even investigate. Campus security lets just say there just there and thats about it for them. The Teachers are great they seem to be almost to have had it as much with Barry as the students. Retention there is unheard of 85% percent of you freshman class wont be there the next year at all!
