Hello to all,
My name is Juan Montes. I am currently a student on the verge of graduation from the Business program at CAU. I have read all the comments that people have made about my school and feel ashamed to hear all the negative feedback given by other "students." Two years ago when I was searching for a place to take my 60 credits from Miami-Dade College, I went to many schools looking for a place that I believed was the best for me to grow. Let be clear about something, I WAS ACCEPTED INTO FIU, BARRY, AND NOVA! Instead, I selected a small school in Doral named Carlos Albizu. Why? I chose CAU for many reasons. For starters, I really was tired of the HUGE class sizes that I had experienced in Miami-Dade College. Professor didn't even know your name by the end of the semester. Also, being that I worked full time, I needed a school that helped me fit in work and school all in the same day. I had heard about the great Psychology program offered and knew that the Business program was fairly new. With all this in mind, I decided to take a chance and on this small school in Doral, and I am so happy I did. In CAU, I have been taught all the tools needed to survive in this tremendously challenging business world. I did not learn this from old professors that don't know english, but rather from professionals who are currently in the field. I have had professors who work for Citibank, huge accounting firms, and government agencies. I have also had many professors who teach in both CAU and Barry, FIU, Miami-Dade and yes, University of Miami. These professors have been able to give me real feedback to use in the field rather than just plain old theory which can be learned by reading books and lectures. I stand by my school as a current student and soon to be graduate. CAU is a great school which, I KNOW, will be recognized in the future as one of the best in Miami. I am very happy to put my name on this because unlike all the other cowards that are talking bad about my school, I feel obligated to defend what is right! | | Quite Bright | You will not find a more honest or knowledgable appraisal of CAU than this. CAU is a very young school - only 25 years in Miami. After achieving great success as a professional school of psychology, its curricula was expanded thus qualifying it as a university. I would recommend CAU for its APA accredited Psy.D. program only. That program is solid and the school's growth is based on that program's strength. CAU's atmosphere is definitely more professional school - not collegiate. It worked for me because I did not enroll fresh out of college. I entered the school already with a masters degree. If you perform better in a large university atmosphere, this is not the school for you. If you are a mature self-starter who learns better in small groups, CAU may be right for you. Excuse the cliche, but ... IT IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT. CAU will give you what you need, but you must have the maturity and drive to take advantage of it. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Campus Aesthetics: D | | | |

| | Quite Bright | Wow..when I first read the bad reviews posted on this website I coulnd't beleive my eyes. So here is where CAU dropouts come to blame the school for their miserable failure. Face it guys, college is not for everyone. My experience at CAU has been a great one. I'm graduating this year and I've gotten 2 job offers so far. I've made lifelong friends here.
