| Quite Bright | The teachers at this school are the only ones keeping it afloat. It is failing in that they are paying employees less and using less money for the average students benefit. Other staff members students must deal with specifically in the financial offices are rude ignorant individuals. They will honestly cuss at you and provide absolutely no help. There are no student rights on campus and one truly risks being punished for a ridiculous charge. Examples of these charges are as follows: punishing an entire fraternity for a few members drinking, arresting individuals for protesting, arresting individuals for taking artistic photographs on campus, arresting individuals for cussing or yelling in an office when frustrated, arresting individuals for walking back to administrator offices. The school also claims to be diverse. Yet on October 27th 2008 the school allowed anti-abortion protesters to create an exhibit comparing abortion with the holocaust and civil rights struggle. The school then did not allow any other protesters on campus to offer a competing view. This college honestly should have been closed and reopened a long time ago. If one is interested in this school do yourself a favor and go to PBCC for the first two years. PBCC is a better school and one can get required subjects out of the way. Finally, going to PBCC first limits contact with individuals working at the FAU campus. | Preparedness: F, Reputation: F | | |

| Bright | The accounting program can't be beat! If your an instate student it's a no brainer, tuition is very affordable. Although the on-campus social life leaves much to be desired if you're of age neighboring Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield, and Delray Beach can offer a load of things to do. Not to mention the beach is like 5 minutes away. The only knock i can really give FAU is Boca is sooo very lame....and the faculty seems like sometimes they can't wait to leave once their classes are done making it difficult to track them down. I'd suggest spending two years at a Community College and then transfer in, you'll save a ton of cash. FAU seems to be on the right track, you can be very happy here if you come with a good attitude. | Education Quality: A+, Surrounding City: D | | | |

| Super Brilliant | I understand the negative and positive comments in regards to FAU. I had teachers that made me feel like a number and few who seemed engaged. Boca is very boring and rolls up the sidewalks at 6:00p.m. (after early bird). I have been able to use my degree so that is good. | Perceived Campus Safety: A+, Social Life: F | | | |

i loved FAU and attribute all of my success to my experience in undergrad.
The school gives you an endless amount of opportunities... But if you don't act on them ... Your experience won't be a good one. We have a fast-growing student body with a great athletics program and a budding greek system. We are 2 miles from the beach, 20 minutes from the clubs and bars in fort lauderdale and 45 minutes from south beach -- yet outside of all the big city traffic. What more could you want...? | Starting Job: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ALUMNI RELATIONS, Preparedness: A+, Reputation: - | | |
