In and of itself, the fact that they feel the need to build a new football field as opposed to offering an adequate amount of summer courses is ridiculous. This is a university with a mediocre football team, and majority of students would like to simply obtain their degree and move on. No one who works at the school talks to each other consistently, making students feel as if they are always missing a vital piece of information. During my experience at FAU there were multiple times that I sent emails to our department head that went unanswered. The only person who would answer my questions consistently was my adviser, and her office hours were ONE day a week for a 5 hour window. It was incredibly hard to get answers from anyone at FAU. I missed the add/drop date by less than a day when I dropped a course that I realized I didn't need. I was charged for the full tuition, and because I didn't pay it, it was immediately sent to collections. Thanks FAU. You're a real stand up university. I advise anyone and everyone to not go to this university. Not only did they not want to work with me on the tuition and add/drop, but when I went to see my advisor about future courses, she made me feel like I was a criminal for not paying for a class I didn't take. Great experience! Loved the psyche faculty at Davie! The only complaint(s) I have is that classes started at 4:20pm or 7:00pm and FAU doesn't offer that many online classes; they?re rather archaic.
