Positive Negative Neutral Advice
As a transfer student from a csmaller college,BrightArt & Design Department
As a transfer student from a csmaller college, this university is a bit of a luxury. And there isn't an over emphasis on Greeks which can be seen as a positive to focus on academics. The campus grounds are above average if you enjoy greenery and nature. The social life may not be rampant, but tame in the dorms. Sorry to say that the university is in a retirement city. With this steady environment most professors care if you're doing well and advisors are usually available to help when you run into trouble. I disliked some of the community out reach courses that are required but, they can help develop better social skills for some.

Question
The school is just another factory just tryingQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
The school is just another factory just trying to pass people along. Don't expect any real help from the administration. People just tend to stay in their own lane and make you feel just like another number. The Admin is at a constant state of flux constantly pushing their own ideals on the growing student body and culture. Overall students where other colleges' apparel from where they wanted to go, or where they came from. The school doesn't feel like home when dunk city was taking over, now things aren't looking up in morale or new applications.

Question
I really liked FGCU!Super BrilliantUndecided
I really liked FGCU! It was a *much*, much better experience than FSU. FGCU has a pleasant atmosphere, a relatively nice staff, and is nicely sized.

The only reason I had to transfer, was that they did not offer what I wanted to study: Linguistics or Cognitive Science. But this is to be expected, given that it is a small university. Given the choice between FGCU and FSU, I would pick FGCU a thousand times over. I didn't have to fear for my life at FGCU.
