FHCHS is a very small church type school. Our motto is Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and (Something else). Our website is very attractive, wrapped very nicely and over the phone our staff appear to be friendly.
A hand full of faculty and staff are very nice, strive to do as much as they can to assist... but not many of them are willing to help. Most faculty are... they're just not there most of the time.
I have been there for 3 years, the only reason I stayed was because it's paid for, my friends are there for me. The school, the System itself... tends to be unfriendly. There are so much politics going on, everyone works in the school strives to do less... in layman term we would call them lazy. Staff are always sitting around having coffee, talking in a circle, the phone rings a dozen times and the librarian (most likely the student workers) would turn the ring down and kept talking on their cell phone; faculty go out at lunch around 1130 and come back around 230PM, that's very usual. Some professor would hand us assignment in the beginning of the class for us to complete it for next class period, then they say they cannot stay because they're working on their PhDs or some post-graduate study so they can't stay for long. Lectures are apparantly not prepared. I have seen some powerpoint notes were merely Outlined for students to fill in most of the empty space (which can be interpreted wishing student's effort to write their own notes down... but they do not look professional at all)... I hate to complain but they do seem... "Not there" for us.
Did I say about the Library? They hire few freshmen to sit at the desk to assist, which was a good intention, but they arent' well trained! those student workers does not even know how to look up a book! They go right back to their real librarian and she would show me very nicely.
In the library, printing is a real problem. They have this printing system, where when someone prints from one of the 8 computers available, you must go through the student working at the desk to request for a print out; and most of the time they appear to be busy conversing about some very important boyfriend/girlfriend problem, and they would tell you to wait... I do understand that when people are not well trained they don't do the job well, but it seems that the kind of attitude I perceive was due to the lack of education from their own family.
Our school just neds to be organized a little bit.

Quite Bright
The school is great. You learn a lot and even though they do not guarantee you a job at Florida Hospital, I have found that there is a place for everyone.

Some programs are crazy competitive and others are normal. This is a great school if you know exactly what you want and are not afraid to work for it.

FHCHS is a great alternative to UCF or Valencia. It's a bit more expensive, but it has a great reputation in the area.

This school is for those looking for an education and a career skill, NOT those who want parties all the time. FHCHS is a religious-based school, and they take education seriously.

I came here instead of Valencia, SCC or UCF because there was not as much as a waiting list. Don't let that fool you though, nursing and sonography programs are very competitive here.
