 | Quite Bright | at first glance, FIU seems like a boring, underachieving, commuter school. But after attending there for over 2 years, I am proud to say that I am a Golden Panther. FIU is one the top 100 public universities in the nation, it receives numerous awards each year, the student body is diverse, the faculty is well educated and understanding, and FIU has a new football team! People say that there, "if you're not in a frat, you're a nobody". Thats not true, because I have met and made many friends there that I study with and also party with. FIU is really a one of a kind school, I only wish that I lived on campus because the campus is gorgeous and the people there are very friendly. Did I forget to mention the beautiful latin women? oh man.. Anyways, I would gladly advise anyone to give FIU a look as their choice for college because they won't be disappointed. | | Quite Bright | FIU's education was a tough and enlightening one at the same time. Its tough standards in the nationally-recognized School of Accounting prepared us for the real world and the CPA Exam, where FIU has consistently placed among the top in the nation. The University's amazing growth, both physically and educationally, has been exciting and encouraging for the future of this institution. The campus is beautiful, more state-of-the-art buildings, classrooms, dorms, fraternities and athletic buildings are currently being built and in the planning phase. I have no doubt that the best is yet to come, where the academic achievements already garnered in such a young University will be matched with its ever-increasing campus life, athletic accomplishments, and richly-designed landscape and general campus architecture. If I were you, I would definitely give a long, hard look at FIU, since the future of what I am seeing at my alma mater is very, very bright indeed. | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | |

| | Quite Bright | FIU was an excellent choice to upgrade my education level and the Masters Degree was the primary reason I was offered the position I now currently hold. FIU is a dynamic University in a Dynamic location (Miami, FL). As with most young Universities FIU is in the progress of changing from a 'commuter school' to a Research University, (currently a Research I institution according to Carnegie), one of 5 in the state of Florida.FIU has recently added a Law School and is discussing a future Medical School. It is also adding D-1AA football. Courses here are tough, as they should be. The incoming freshamn's average SAT is now up to 1220. It has been a great experience for me. | Starting Job: Financial Planner with Fortune 500 Co., Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | |
