Teacher turnover is high, they often dont know what to do at the beginning of the term. Place run by a bunch of overzealous women who think they have something to prove by flexing their power muscle over students at every turn. They run the place like a kindergarden, not a university. They micromanage every step of your way. You feel smothered. They change the rules from term to term... in the name of "improving the program". The reality is they dont know what they're doing and use you as guinea pigs. Dont bother complaining, they cover up for each other and have the wool pulled over the owner's eyes. The school is much better than some of the other colleges here in orlando. I truly think it`s all how you apply yourself and handle your study time. I transferred from Valencia college here in orlando where i graduated with my A.A. Degree and i have no complaints about this new, vibrant up and coming nursing proogram. The price is expensive but i`m sure i will get what i paid for. If you are looking for a Nursing school Herzing University is the place to be. I was in Nursing I, but didn't pass because I didn't have enough points. I didn't do well on my midterm, but I did well on my final. The instructors are very knowledgeable in their own field, but as educating the students I rate them on a scale of 1-10 they are 2. There are only a few that I would rate a 9. If you decide to go to this program you will have to study ALOT. And definately study the NCLEX questions on your own because they don't help much with that. And you will definately have to learn how to answer those questions or you will not pass. This school does seem very $$$ oriented. As much money as we pay for this school you would think it would be enough and they would help you in some way, but they don't. I think the nursing staff there would like to help more, but the Dean (previous nursing director) does not allow them to. The dean does try to talk down to you and make you feel like an idiot. She does not care what you have to say. The school is very clean I guess I can give them that and the staff are friendly except for the dean. I am not sure yet if I am going to continue there. I am afraid if I go somewhere else it may be worse. Also for clinicals they don't go to floria hospital and ORMC. I am trying to find out why they don't allow this school to go there, but I can probably guess why. It was sad to see that alot of really intelligent students didn't pass the midterm. I really disagree with there point system, but I guess that is the way they do it at herzing (the most famous reply at this school). Good luck to you!
