Lynn University, what can I really say about this place. First off, I think everyone should know that there is not one perfect college/university anywhere in the world. However some are pretty damn close. Lynn is right up there. I came to Lynn from PA and was the only person from my high school to attend there. That is the same for lots of Lynn students, they come from all over the US and they are the only students from their school or area. (Unless you are from NJ, NY, MA. I would say 25% of the school is from those states.) You meet so many people from all over the country and the world. Students from over 90 countries study there too. I have met people from every continent minus Antarctica, I SWEAR! Its really cool. Not to mention when you have an International Business class with 6 US students vs 15 international students. You learn more from those students than the text book sometimes.

Student Life: There are fraternities and sororities, 2 actually but they are growing greek life. There are things to get involved on campus. The school however needs us to bend the rules just a bit. LET US BE ADULTS! They are getting better though. But, there are plenty of ways to have fun and still have that "college experience." Students are great! Yes there are snooty rich kids, flashy girls, and guys who think "they are the coolest badasses in the world." THAT IS EVERY COLLEGE! Sorry we are a small school and you might see it on a daily basis.

Dorms: They are clean, however, you have some kids that never left home before and are complete slobs. JUST LIKE OTHER COLLEGES! At least are rooms are clean, have safes, new sinks, cable, a/c, wireless int, and housekeeping in the bathrooms EVERYDAY! Go to other colleges and you might cringe.

The Caf: Caf food is good. All you can eat and just remodeled, (summer 2008 I hear.) The best breakfast in town. (Kitchen makes all eggs to order, omelets, scrambled, ect.) Lunch and Dinner is good too. You will get tired of the caf, you cant eat there everyday. Go off campus there are thousands of restaurants in 5 miles of campus or try the Knights Court on campus. You do not have to many schools that ask what the students would like to have in the caf. Go to an SGA meeting, thats part of their job.

Classes: In my opinion, the Communications school is the BEST on campus. They have the best facilities, curriculum, and professors. Lots with real world experiences. Lots of hands on out of the box, out of the classroom learning. I wish I majored in COM instead of BUS. Business school is lots of classroom learning. However, they teach you how to prepare for the real world business environment. GREAT PROF! I just wish there was more out of the box, more hands on, out out of the classroom learning. Hospitality is really GREAT! Your in south Florida, TONS of opportunity! Lots of out of the box learning. All of the professors always want to help students in anyway. If you go to class and show effort they will help you as much as possible. They love to help. But, prof will not help students that will not help themselves. Prof office doors are always open. They give you phone numbers (even cell sometimes), email address. I actually had a prof call me when they heard I was sick! They care for their students as if you were their own child. YOU WILL NOT FIND THIS AT OTHER COLLEGE!!!

Lynn is a one of a kind COLLEGE EXPERIENCE! You will meet the greatest people in your life. Have the most fun and have fun learning at school. I consider going to Lynn a pleasure, and thats what college should be! I hate summer because everyone goes home for break.

Go to LYNN and if you read the negative reviews, they go to another school after their freshman year and come back their Junior year because they kicked themselves for leaving in the first place!

There is so much to do! The beach is literally 3 miles away and the school has a beach shuttle to take you there for FREE EVERYDAY! Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, there are so many things to do on weekends and nights. Boca even has bars, restaurants that are college friendly. You wear sandals ALL YEAR! I think this is an easy decision, College is the middle of the farm country or Florida paradise average yearly temp 82 degrees?

I enjoyed every minute of my time at Lynn! Living in Boca is like paradise - I would encourage students to go to the beach as often as possible! Not everyone can go to the beach in February.

Also, Lynn gave me the opportunity to learn from professors with real-world experience. My first professor was a reporter from the NY Times, I also learned from past news anchors, and a practicing lawyer in my business law class. I would encourage students to make sure you stand apart from the rest of the class. Make friends with your professors. The connections you are able to make at Lynn are so valuable when finding a job after graduation! If you work hard, your professors will take note of your accomplishments and in many cases can help you get your foot in the door.

I would also encourage students to be excited about living in the dorms. I met my best friend my freshman year - she lived down the hall. Yes you may not be able to bring a coffee maker, but you will make friends that last a life time. It's impossible not to! In addition, so many of my friends are international students! I'm originally from Augusta, GA, but I have friends who I still keep in touch with living in South Africa, Spain, Haiti and across the globe! I would have never gotten such an experience outside of Lynn. In all my experience at Lynn was amazing and unforgettable. It was the perfect college for me - and for any motivated student! I went to the beach on a weekly basis, knew each of my professors by their first names, graduated with a 3.9 GPA, participated in the honors program, made valuable connections, worked hard, learned so much about communications not just by reading a book and taking a test, but by actually completing real-world tasks (like blog-writing, producing press releases on deadline, filming and producing my own films, among the endless list of assignments). Now have a great job working in my desired field of public relations, and I know I couldn't have done it without Lynn.

I am an international student and love Lynn. There are so many other international students, that it's so rare to meet someone actually from Florida! I love the fact that the beach is about 2 miles down the road. The campus is beautiful. My lifestyle at Lynn is more than what any college student could dream of. During the week I go to classes, I have time to go to the pool for a bit, study in the evening, meet my friends for coffee on campus, and go to the fitness center. On weekends we hang by the beach, go to nature parks, or just have a BBQ by the pool. There are hammocks all around campus from the Palm Trees... It's so tranquil here! I just love it. My residence hall is a minute walk away from my classroom. What more could one possibly want?!
