 | Quite Bright | This is my 2nd semester here and all the professors I've had are good. They are engaging and are willing to help. But honestly this school is easier than high school, Not challenging at all. It is really not worth it unless youre going for nursing or another craft that requires professional training. The campus is nice and is fairly well kept, but the students body is horrible. if you have friends that go here, great, meet them in the cafeteria for lunch. If not, expect to either walk around, sit in class, and eat lunch alone, or do all of the above while get hit on my complete creeps who are half retarded playing video games. Sorry, but it is the truth. Nobody here talks to each other at all. The theatre department is a bit more social, obviously, but every other class here, the kids are either totally awkward, unsocial, or hicks. There are a lot of hicks. Be prepared to be blasted in the face by thick clouds of black smoke as pick-up trucks ten feet off the ground from Myakka roll by every day. And be prepared to unpleasantly and unwillingly stare at fat rolls bulging out the sides of redneck girls' sad excuse for cut-off denim shorts. And be prepared to listen to the story from the kid that sits next to you in class' of what happened to him last night at the Myakka mud wrestling derby while he was making beef jerky and hunting boars. But, if youre lucky, you wont have to class full of hicks, just old people. People that go here are also well into their 40s or 50s, which is cool, everybody wants an education at some point (?) but it does not prove fitting for other kids who are younger and ready to learn new things and not talk about when they were younger and DVDs didnt exist yet.So pretty much, unless youre a hick or really old, please dont go here. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Social Life: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | If you think taking courses at a community college will be "easier" than taking them at a private college, you are mistaken. The courses were just as demanding at MCC as any other college, but I do find the professors very approachable and understanding of a working adult perspective. I work full-time and attend college part-time and have found it's good to have teachers who understand that. | Education Quality: A, Extracurricular Activities: C | | | |
