Miami Dade College is a good school to go to learn, but if you trying to get financial aid, you are out of luck. I have transfer to Broward College because Miami Dade would not gave me financial aid. Broward College is much easier to get Financial aid because they try to help you. When I try to get Financial aid from Miami Dade College, they gave me the run around and say that I have to pay out of my own pocket.

Wow, what can I say, from the horrible teachers that grade by prefrence to the evil financial aid office it's has to be the worst!
This school suffers from a horrible financial aid staff. They lose your papers, ask for them again and then lose them once more. Finally when they locate the papers, they take ages to load the information onto the system. You are left waiting for months. As of yet, I still do not have my financial aid ready, and it is so late in the year. Then they never answer the phone and when they finally do they dont know what is going on. They add you on a list and never call you back or let you know if it is being resolved or not. They sound angry when you ask for the reason for something they have done themselves. They are rude and very inconsiderate. I have no wish to deal with them again and would advice the school to take notice of this problem. I am not the only student that is going through this.

Miami Dade is the cities attempt at saying that they have affordable schooling available for the locals. Bottom line is this school only teaches nursing and business or at least they try to. Any other major will only lead you down a road of frustration due to the lack of professors. Those professors that are available will speak some weird dialect that will resemble english but won't be. The only other thing that you will be sure to get alot of will be the red-tape, clueless advisors that will have you chasing your tail just long enough for there office to close. Have fun!!! By the way, if you've noticed only positive feedback has been from their business students!!!

The only campus Miami Dade has that somewhat resembles a college campus, is their Kendall campus. If you choose to go to any other campus you will most likely be caught in a blackhole of red tape, faculty that barely speaks english, and advisors that seem like they were plucked right out of the local DMV. I could not even get the contact information for a number of the professors I selected, because according to MDC, they outsource their staff. Even Kendall (which is the best they have to offer) has a prison feel to it, with professors that have a chip on their shoulders and something to prove since they are teaching in a 3rd world schooling system.
