Beach Atlantic University is a comprehensive Christian university with an
enrollment of 3000 students. Founded in 1968, PBA provides a
quality education with a distinctive Christian emphasis for students of
all faiths. Academics More than 80 programs of study
arranged into nine academic schools: Arts & Sciences, Communication &
Media, Education & Behavioral Studies, Rinker School of Business, Music
& Fine Arts, Ministry, MacArthur School of Continuing Education, Nursing,
and Pharmacy. PBA also offers master's degree programs in business
administration, organizational leadership, elementary education, counseling psychology, and a doctoral
program in Pharmacy. At PBA, we know that success means
many things and involves far more than a salary. We've
designed our programs - both inside and outside the classroom
- to help students grow and be successful in every
area of life ... academically, spiritually, socially and financially. Campus
& Facilities PBA offers excellent, modern facilities on a
25-acre campus in West Palm Beach, Florida, directly across the
Intracoastal Waterway from Palm Beach and only minutes from the
Atlantic Ocean. PBA's cosmopolitan location puts beaches, restaurants and shopping
within easy walking or bicycling distance. With the temperature usually in the 70's or 80's, at PBA you can enjoy
outdoor activities year-round. And PBA is leading the charge up
the information highway with PalmNET, a campus-wide fiberoptic/wireless network that
gives students, faculty and staff unlimited access to each other
via e-mail and to the Internet, library databases, and more.
A Windows-based computer and printer is in every student residential
room as well as on the desk of every full-time
faculty member. Lifestyle At PBA, you'll meet friends whose
values and beliefs are similar to yours and establish friendships
that will last a lifetime. You'll also build friendships with
fellow students whose diverse perspectives will challenge you as you
develop lifelong values. Choose from a wide variety of extracurricular
activities - intercollegiate or intramural athletics; academically, professionally or religiously
oriented clubs; student government, newspaper or yearbook; music or drama
productions. Despite its urban location, the PBA campus is a
safe place to be, night or day. Residence halls are
locked; only students and their invited guests may enter. PBA's
hand-picked Safety & Security personnel patrol the campus around the
clock and are available to walk students to and from
parking lots, classrooms or residence halls at night, if requested. PBA provides a variety of opportunities for students to grow
and mature in their faith, both inside the classroom, under
the guidance of top-notch, seminary-educated professors, and outside, with a
range of activities, from solemn to exhilarating. If your beliefs
lead you to do something to make a difference in
your world, PBA's Workship program can show you how. Workship
links work to worship and service to learning by requiring
students to spend at least 45 hours each year in
community service, either individually or in group projects. It is
designed to instill the value of service and the importance of a Christian's responsibility to help others; it also helps
students develop leadership and problem-solving skills. Cost Don't be
fooled by the “sticker price.” More than 90% of PBA
students qualify for some form of financial aid - scholarships,
grants, loans or work-study programs. Financial aid packages are calculated
on the difference between a family's ability to pay and
the cost of the college: that means as the cost of the college rises, so does the financial aid. PBA
may be more affordable than you think. The only way
to know for sure is to apply. Then you'll know
what a PBA education will cost you and your family. Location/Contact PALM BEACH ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY-WEST PALM BEACH
