Super Brilliant
Most of the grade ratings I gave were relatively good. However, my overall impression is negative.
PCC's facilities and campus is bar none one of the nicest I have ever seen. However, under that shiny exterior are a few major problems. The actual coursework and my teachers were pretty decent and have helped me in life. But the main problem is the attitude of the main administration toward their students.

As a "Christian" institution, they rate very poorly at treating people in a "Christ-like" manner. By that I mean that the Bible clearly teaches to love your neighbor as yourself. It would be nice if they could only grasp that concept of treating people with love instead of being so willing to jump on people the minute they make a mistake in life. When mistakes are made is when people need guidance the most, not punishment. As a result, they greatly harm the reputation of Christians who aren't all like that.

Also, I hang out at a student and alumni website called pccboard.com. When they found out I talkedto people there, they removed my name from the official PCC alumni website directory and deleted my user account. They still do this on a regular basis.

It pains me greatly to see this and I would like nothing more than to be very proud of them. I do not wish to see them fail, but I do wish to see them change their policies to show more love and compassion toward others.I think this survey backfired on them, but I hope they will read our comments seriously and consider what we have been trying to tell them for so long. I would like nothing better than to tell people where I went to school (I graduated, by the way) and have other people tell me that they have heard so much good about PCC.

Not so bright
I think alot of the things that occured at college was my fault. Just like alot of people complain on this site about the rules. You wonder how many of them get in trouble with the law, have trouble with speeding tickets. I often thought that I should follow more of the rules, but I just often never saw the point. Why should I be out of bed, dressed, my bed made and room cleaned if I didnt have a first or second hour class.

I remember that I got a ton of demerits for showing up late for a literatue class that was a 1 1/2 hour class offered twice a week. I got a A or B in the class because I could skim the text and do ok on the scantron test. I now ask if it wasnt for the literature class I wouldnt know some of the question on English or American Lit on Jeopardy...

One of the dumb things that I never understood was concerning my off-campus job. I used to get a pile of demerits here. I guess, I should say I was probably to blame here once again. Here's the scoop. I worked often at my off campus job from 1 pm to whenever I was done. It could be 6-7 pm. I dont remember all the details now but I would stop at Subway on the way back and I was supposed to sign up for a bag supper or something. I got demerits for not picking up the bag lunch. It was classified as improper procedure (I think). I got demerits for wearing a bathing suit off campus one time to my job. I cleaned pools often for my boss. I was told by a idiot at the DC that I was to either change at the job or to wear pants over my bathing suit. I still to this day ask HUH?

Well, that is the rules sitation story with me.
The classroom instruction was great...Except Dean Ohman was the worst instructor that I had. I think I could have got as much out of watching him sweat to the oldies, but at PCC you have to sweat to classical music or other music that would be approved by the ad. Of course any movement caused Ohman to sweat.

But I did have several business instructors that were exceptional. One instructor I still think of him to this day for inspiration. I feel the ethics part of the education is was puts me over the top to some degree.

If I was asked if I would do it all over again I'd say yes. I had a great time in college. I would not have missed it for the world and the stories that I tell from my experience are alway party pleasers. You just cant make up stuff the occurs at PCC.

If you're a Christian, don't go there. Seriously. This place is more about rules than about God.
