| Quite Bright | I've already posted a comment but I wanted to say a few more things that I feel are important to the reader. I came to PCC because I wanted to find God. I considered myself a Christian and I wanted to learn more about the bible and get spiritual as well as academic education. So your question may be did I find God? Do I feel closer to Him since I went to a Christian institution? My answer is no. PCC made me dead to religion and anything spiritual and changed my views completely. I was afraid to go to a secular university because everyone always told me they try to skew your thoughts and beliefs. Well PCC did just that. To be honest with you I can't even explain completely how they did it, but I know fellow college students who are there and live and see it everyday are the only ones who can understand my thoughts and feelings. If you dare to find out then go...maybe its the best. But if there really is a God (and I'm not sure about that anymore), I can't imagine Him wanting somebody like me who was searching open hearted for Him, to go to a place like PCC. I stopped praying my sophomore year and despite the good friends and spiritual influences, it still did not stop my faith from diminishing. One thing PCC did not take from me though is my will (even though they constantly talk about braking the will of students is God's will). And even though I am no longer a Christian I still believe in doing whats right. (That does not include only wearing skirts, and judging others). It does include standing for whats right in my country, loving others, helping the poor and others in need, and helping young people stay away from drugs, violence, ect. | Preparedness: D+, Reputation: D+ | | |

I went to Pensacola because of the affordability. I knew about the rules and did pretty much what I was told. The reason for the negative comment is the fact that I had a hard time finding employment after leaving Pensacola. I started applying for jobs from the summer before my Senior year and didn't find anything until 2 months after graduation. Many of the responses I received were that the school I was attending was not accredited and they didn't recognize the degree. Finally I landed a job and my boss told me that it was due to my strong interviewing skills that he hired me. He told me that he would've just filed my resume in the trash can, but one of his employees recommended me. I no longer work for that company, and now have enough years in the field that the degree doesn't matter anymore.
My advice for all future business majors. Go to a University with an established business program. It will make a difference when you go out to the real world. I didn't get my interview skills from Pensacola. I took a year of classes outside of PCC and took classes geared toward interviewing and business writing. If it weren't for that, I'd probably be working in a factory. If you do end up going to PCC, make sure you have a good internship lined up with a company that will consider you for employment after graduation. Good Luck and e-mail me any questions. | Starting Job: Accountant, Preparedness: B, Reputation: F | | |

| Bright | This school (like all others) is not heaven on earth. It is run by people who can (and sometimes do) make mistakes. Success at this school depends on the students attitude. Yeah, some of the rules are strict, but they are not hard to follow. If you are seeking to please the Lord, you will do well. Too many times I think people expect Christian colleges to be "perfect" but that is impossible in this world. Remember to keep your eyes in God's will in your life, keep Him in the center of your attention and He will see you through. This school has been a positive influence on me. I have learned a great deal through the good and bad examples. Keep an open mind--even when others are being closeminded! | Education Quality: A+, University Resource Use: C- | | | |

| Bright | When I first started looking for Colleges, I never imagined that I would end up at Pensacola Christian College (PCC). I never imagined all the experiences that I would face. I first visited PCC during a summer nursing camp in 2005. At this camp, I was challenged daily in God's holy and infallible Word and met many faculty and church members that were so kind and helpful. By the end of the week, I didn't want to leave. When I arrived back home, I immediately applied for PCC. I thought that I would major in Nursing and even though I knew that my classes would be tough, I knew with God's help that I could do all things through Christ which strengthens me. I also knew that God had something great in store for me. After my application was approved, I received a letter in the mail stating that I could go down for the summer and work on campus. They said that I would receive free room and board, get paid $8 an hour, work 40 hours a week, and meet so many new people. I was not too thrilled with this idea, but after seeking counsel, from my parents and my pastor, I decided that this is what God had in plan for me. Looking back a year later, I realize what a great thing God did in the past year. Some of the blessings that I received were the following: more friends that I could ever imagine, great teachers who actually care about you, awesome roommates that encouraged and challenged me spiritually, Chapel messages that spoke directly to me, and was fed every Sunday and Wednesday by Pastor Neil Jackson. Even though I am an accounting major now, I never thought that God would so greatly bless me in my time at PCC. I am planning on working again this summer and eventually graduation in May of 2010. | Education Quality: A+, Surrounding City: B+ | | | |
