The rules were never an issue while IEducation
The rules were never an issue while I was a student, so I don't have that as a complaint. I was there to get an education, not to party. Now that it has been 11 years since I graduated from PCC, I realize I missed out - not because I didn't get to do the partying, but because I was never afforded the opportunity to learn to think philosophically or hear what my fellow students thought. It was just lecture - test - lecture - test. No student input whatsoever.

When I first started graduate school, I was shocked when my professors wanted to know what I thought - no teacher ever cared about my opinion at PCC, just could I regurgitate material for an exam. I am now almost finished with my doctorate, and I do believe the school fostered in me a self-discipline other institutions might not have.

PCC faculty and administration continually criticized groups they referred to as pseudo-intellectuals and censored our reading materials, citing the verse that we should not think on such things. Anything written after the turn of the 20th century was viewed with suspicion by most people on campus. This is not the school to go to if you are looking forward to late nights discussing German philosophy or Postmodernism with your fellow students. For one, lights out is at 11, but most students aren't familiar enough with such topics upon arrival and certainly don't learn anything about them while there, other than their existence and that they are "bad."

Question
I do not recommend PCC to anyone.Quite BrightEnglish
I do not recommend PCC to anyone. It is a pseudo-fascist society dominated by the Administration and their "pets" who report anything which is against the rules. Which is nearly everything you would usually do at college. You are denied email or any personal internet use beyond the sites that the Administration have approved. You are required to not listen to any music except PCC's radio station and strictly classical music (not even jazz is allowed). You are not allowed to skip classes or any of the 8 church/chapel services per week. You will live in fear that something you have done will get you expelled, or that someone will lie to the Administration about you and you will be expelled anyway.

The College is doctrinally accurate when it comes to the Bible, but they brook no disagreement with their theology, no religious freedom of any kind. All students, staff, and faculty are required to attend the Campus Church's 3 weekly services, except Bible majors, who are allowed to work Sunday nights at carefully selected local churches.I was not allowed to return to the college after being involved in a student website at http://go.to/PCCstudentvoice . I never released my name on the website, but after seven days of posting messages on the message board, the Administration had pinpointed my identity and they left a message with my parents that I would not be allowed to return. If you visit the Student Voice website, bear in mind that most of the information provided (except for some morons on the message board) is essentially correct.
