My review for Saint Leo...where do I start. Well first off, in a town full of cow-tipping, and literally nothing to do in the middle of no where. You've found you're school. This 'prestigious' school is 40 minutes from Tampa, which coming from a huge city out of state, it's a big jump. So unless you have a car, then you're gonna have to beg someone with a car for a ride (which normally they'll make you pay, because people are arrogant and rude in this part of town). As the campus goes, they built 2 new apartments that were a few million, only to not build kitchens in any of them to make you waste money on buying the unlimited food plan, which actually tastes mediocre and is some of the worst food meals ever. Besides the new apartments that are a failure upon whoever thought of them, the campus is old-fashioned, besides the new business building which is very new and nice.

The student body at this school...unless you're an athlete or a rich snotty brat, you won't fit in. The school is run by jocks and each sport team all has it's own debut of drama. This school environment is so small that anything you say will run around campus and everyone knows your business and everyone judges you. Coming from a middle class household, you will run into a lot of fake friends at this school and a lot of drama. The campus likes to tell itself that they have school pride. In reality, it's for la crosse and soccer, which are the most boring to go watch and this school doesn't even have a football team and calls themselves Division 2.

Financial aid....where do I get started. Oh I know. This school is all about money. They say they're non-profit school. They should be re-classified as a for-profit school. They try to suck the money out of you any which way possible. Charges here and there for no apparent reason, and then they give you student loans so you're about 30-40k in debt when you're done at this school and they still want more. They will give you charges for even a scratch on the wall or door. So for the 30k a year private school, it doesn't make sense. If I'm paying 30 grand a year for a school, I'd go elsewhere, like UCF or USF.

Res life is a joke and are controlling to every end. Small roommate parties lead to res life knocking on your door to be quiet, as they build the walls and floors so thin and crappy that everyone can hear you. Don't even think of trying to party or do drugs in the dorms or apartments. You will get caught and many people last fall got kicked out. Furthermore, I was excited about coming to St Leo, but I should of sticked to the reviews. Hey you might meet a few genuine people here, but in reality, you should of picked you're 2nd school if st leo was your #1 school. It's a waste of money, a waste of your time and a crappy start to your professional career. AVOID THIS SCHOOL AT ALL COSTS.

I'm at the Ocala campus for St. Leo in the Middle Grades Math Education program. While the internship opportunities provided by the school are amazing the rest of the program is completely irresponsible. The way the school works is one person or committee designs all the assignments for the course the hands the rubric to the instructor who then gives the assignment to the students. The instructors are given no training or verbal instruction on how the assignment is to completed other than the rubric and description given to them in the syllabus about a week before the semester begins. The language in these assignments are confusing and often times the assignments themselves are impossible to complete. Currently I have 3 assignments that I am currently working on where I have been told by the instructors just to make stuff up to get credit. For example the assignment I'm working on now I have to teach a lesson using a manipulative and then electronically collect data on how well the students performed, mathematical errors made, and includes the prerequisite skills needed. However the technology to complete this assignment is not provided to us so now I am doing what I was told to do by my instructor... make up charts and graphs fabricating errors and results. Spending 4 hours on an assignment making up results is not an acceptable way to have an assignment designed.

I happen not to be christian - and things went bad from there. Teacher would openly argue and disregard my comments when I did not agree with his closeminded comments. Faculty was way less that pitiful. Way overpriced - I should have not enrolled in this college.
