The fact that UCF focuses only on research faculty in order to receive gov. funds is a serious problem for students. I expected mentors that would care about their students and teach us so that we could fly (so we could become more tommorow then we are today). Instead, I received the exact same education I can get on my own--myself + a text book.--Only difference is I actually had to pay for this. Often students are graded unfairly on information never covered in class- profs are unclear about assignments and inorganized--of course they are! they are not teachers they are researchers. MORTIFIED THAT MY MBA WILL BE FROM THIS SCHOOL!

This s the most arrogant, lazy slacker University I have ever dealt with. Emails are unaswerd, phone calls are not returned. They can get away with whatever. I will never hire anyone from UCF

Nursing

UCF advertises a program in conservation biology, but this program exists primarily on paper and the faculty are actually united against building the program. There is very limited opportunity to interact with other students compared to most schools. UCF can be a rather lonely place to be a graduate student. The faculty are very friendly and they get along with each other and with the students. There are plenty of teaching assistantships except during the summer. No health insurance.

Don't expect any type of financial aid from this university! The staff in every department are RUDE and they will not work with the students.

Social Work

If you happen to be a smart person with personal interests and ideas, go to another school. Here you only find study groups aimed at A's, with little interest with actual science.

Otherwise, I see many undergrads in umanities who look like having a blast.

Bottom line: If you're a chinese nerd who's willing to mindlessly study the heck out of every night, this is your school!

Or an undergrad in 'music' who want's to gather a circle of friends, by far this is exactly for you mate.

Otherwise, don't bother.

UCF is a good school for graduate or undergraduate studies, but because it is such a large school, students must really be self-motivated to seek out faculty members in their disciplines in order to become a part of research projects or to receive individual attention. If the student is self-motivated, though, there are numerous exciting opportunities here. Many of the graduate programs here are highly ranked, but not all of the programs are. Check the program out fully before committing to it.
