As a student of 2 years thus far, I would like to say that I love AASU. It has the perfect student/professor ratio, so you CAN get individual time with your prof if needed. I am proud to be a Nursing student at AASU, for it is an extreamly competetive school to get into. AASU has one of the best Nursing & Computer programs, and others as well, on the East coast. I had to admit, some of the classes, especially entry-level courses can be a little "easy", but the science courses can be difficult. I have earned my A's. I have had so many WONDERFUL professors, in all subjects. Every one them have been so helpful and encouraging. Some comments I saw said that they were not being challenged. I'm not sure what their majors are, but I have certainly been challenged. Although the campus isn't a HUGE one, you really don't get the "college experience" with the Greek life, etc. However, for those who choose to go to college for strictly an education, then it's perfect. Maintance is aweful, they don't keep up with the facilities that the students live in like housing. Never see Greek life around campus doing anything they keep to themselves. Rec center isn't open long.
The campus is beautiful, people are nice, and savannah is is a nice place to come and see and pretty. More things to do out of campus. Living areas can be improved, and dinning services can have more choices.Rooms should be cheked thro prior to students moving in.More activites for students to do on campus, see more of the greek life on campus. | Education Quality: A+, Individual Value: F

This school has great professors who really care about the success of the students, and facilities are nice but not great. Classes are not too difficult, and the campus is conveniently located within Savannah. The social life is - wait - WHAT SOCIAL LIFE? Of the 6,000 students at Armstrong, less than 1,000 live on campus. There are fraternities on campus, but most people I have spoken with don't like the frats, and Savannah's social/nightlife is heavily restricted to only those of age 21 and up, so don't expect to leave campus and go find a bunch of pretty women walking downtown or at the mall. If you are an extremely outgoing person who makes friends easily and does not mind being involved in the drama and untrustworthiness that goes around campus, you will do fine here. Otherwise, think twice about coming here and hoping that you will "meet lots of new people and make friends." In addition, despite being a big city, Savannah has very little to do after about a month or two, and it is out in the middle of nowhere, so when you do get bored with Savannah, you have to drive a long way to find something new. In addition, I know this is a very opinionated and brutally honest thing that some people probably won't want to hear, but everywhere I look at this college, I see more goths, nerds, and just downright strange people, than the number of normal, success-oriented people which I only see on rare occasions. Oh, and don't come here looking for "lots of hot girls." They are few and far between. That's right, I said it. | Faculty Accessibility: A, Social Life: F
