As a student I have been treated badlyBright
As a student I have been treated badly by some of the instructors. When asking them for help the most common response was read the materials, well hello if I am asking you for help I read the class wark and still did not understand "I NEED YOUR HELP!!" I also found that 50% of the instructors only did lame lectures full of BS instead of teachimg the sudbject for the week. "I don't care about last weeks football game or your weather...I want to be taught." I feel AIU should do their own assignment instead of farming it out to some company in Canada then maybe the assignments with follow the book. I also feel the assignments writers should remember not all students worked the feild they are studying "some of us are brand new at this" and assignmets should teach how processes are done instead of making us do the process with no training.

The courses I took here were the biggestBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
The courses I took here were the biggest joke ever. The group projects were nearly impossible. I enrolled because I was motivated and eager to get a degree. After my experience, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I found out others agree - AIU's reputation proceeds them - I wish I knew then what I know now!! My motivation for distance learning is all but depleted after this!!

I was an IT professional going into theComputer Science
I was an IT professional going into the program. It was horribly expensive for the pathetic education they tried to give the students in my class. They outright lied about certifications (told us we would be able to get A+ and MCSE certifications, which was not true from their teachings).

I and my classmates that were returning (there were a few) knew more than the professors and their staff that tried to run their network. All in all, it was an expensive piece of paper so that I can go to graduate school at some point.I do have to point out that I made more money BEFORE going to AIU than after. Mainly due to the current state of the IT Industry, but they have had NOTHING to do with where I am in the field.
