The quality of teaching could be better.BrightArt & Design Department
The quality of teaching could be better. As a graphic design student, I've had some teachers in the past who could care less if I succeed or fail; BUT if you work hard and the professors see that you care and that you want to make something of yourself, then they will, by ALL means help you. On the other hand, If you are a slacker/lazy, they will drop you like a fly. Yes, it is an expensive school, and yes it's overpriced; but if you don't like it/can't afford it, then by all means leave. Nobody's making you stay there.

I wanted to give my rating of aiaAverageOther
I wanted to give my rating of aia after responding to another review. i started this school after going to another culinary school. aia has nice kitchens and i learn the way i want to learn. i get to work in the kitchens and learn how to make all types of food and in the same environment that i experience at my current job. i'm a sous chef and i don't get to make excuses for failure in my job or in my school work. the first year was hardest bc i didn't have my balance. now i know how to do it. also, for the review that says people are arrogant and snoody, that is not true. people go to aia to learn how to work and how to do it right...not to be mean...but people aren't there to make friends. i have a lot of friends at the school but it's not my schools responsibility to make those friends for me. i hate hearing bad reviews about aia bc it has been my home for 2 years and i love the differences in everyone throughout. people who complain about the money shouldn't try to go to a PRIVATE SCHOOL. it's not like you can't go to another school. quit complaining. if you didn't want to go to aia and still don't, then transfer! or don't start in the first place!if you really love the majors they offer then consider it. i'm doing me and i love it!

Registering for classes is miserable.BrightOther
Registering for classes is miserable. Expect weekend and late night classes for culinary students, and those are the only available classes on the day registration opens. No free time, and instructors don't take work load to be an excuse for anything. Chances of graduating on time are slim to none. Residential Authorities don't care about roommate issues, and they don't enforce the rules that you sign in agreement to comply to.
