If your a photography major avoid this place like the plague. One of the primary teachers of photography is impossible to get a hold of, and so impatient that he utterly fails to explain anything competently. I watched many of my classmates suffer not understanding what he was trying to teach, only to have him blow them off, and try to ignore them when they asked for help.
There's a ton of other costs outside of the kit you'll buy, that they don't tell you about, but are necessities none the less to pass. You'll spend lots of timing renting things, only to have to take them back within 24 hours. This means if you live in the Atlanta area, but not near the school; be prepared for lots of driving, and sitting in traffic.
I had a mathematics teacher that spoke english so poorly, that he simply resorted to pointing and grunting most of the time as a substitute for "teaching". This did not bode well for the students.
This place is a total joke. A vast body of the students are incredibly arrogant, audio majors, and each one thinks they're a professional rapper, or producer. Few are, and there are few bright minds to be found at this school. A money pit, on a wasted education. I wish I could have the time I wasted there back. Oh ya, if you don't get stabbed at the "shared student housing" in Atlanta, you can always take comfort in the fact that your spending $900 a month on what is essentially a jail cell broad band internet. | Campus Maintenance: A, Faculty Accessibility: F | | | |

| Average | Something has changed in the atmosphere at AIA this past year. Maybe it's the costs of rising tuition and housing. Maybe it's because we continue to loose wonderful staff members to SCAD and other colleges. But the students are starting to recognize the difference and we are not pleased. If the school is attempting to try something new within the system they have not announced their plans to the student body, leaving us to wonder what is going on and if the school will improve. I am an Animation Major. We use to have a wonderful teaching staff who have worked for Disney and the Cartoon network. Many have left and we have been without a department chair/head for two quarters. It seems AIA is dealing with some troubling times, if that's true.... they wont tell you. | Campus Maintenance: A, Individual Value: F | | | |

| Quite Bright | The atmosphere at The Art Institute of Atlanta is extremely positive, encouraging, challenging, and exciting. I studied at 3 different universities before deciding to attend an art school, and nothing can compare to the experience, knowledge, confidence, and friendships that I have gained from my time spent at AIA. The faculty/staff are ABSOLUTELY the BEST in their respective fields, and many of them have formed lasting mentorships with me. Faculty/staff are organized, disciplined, creative, and energetic. It is obvious that they're passionate about their careers and helping students to reach their goals. One simply cannot put a price on an AIA education.
