this school is one of the absolutely worst schools ive ever attended! I cant explain of how I hate going to school everyday and cant wait to graduate. The fianacial aid office acts like they are paying out each one of their own personal bank accounts and take foreverrrrrrrrrrrr to acknoledge your paper work and process information!!! you would think that the school being they turned into a four year program school would make better changes for trying to get new students and their not. Take my advice this school is exactly what everybody thinks a ghetto black college wold be, no surprises of being any better.

trying to enter this school has delayed my education for another yr because of mistakes made by staff that obviously dont know their job! I was accused of a false withdrawel which caused me to have an f and delayed me from starting. I have made several calls over the mths with promises of callbacks even to the presidents' office. I stopped calling cause noone would callback once they knew what I was calling for. I decided i'd try to talk to the president himself before going to the board of colleges because of this outstanding balance and holds that they had me doing several other things to fix n said it would be fixed when it all came from this withdrawel. Finally I received a call where the withdrawel was fixed but I still owe 14.40 for what I dont know but its better than them charging me over 1000 when I hadnt even took a complete class there! it then came down to 745, then I had a credit of 485, next day back to a balance of over 200. Someone was playing! happy that this is fixed for now n have to still call to remove hold n go to academic advising again but have decided to move on n go somewhere else n if I had done that in the beginning I couldve been completing my degree this fall but im still at square 1 because of this. If I had let it go they would have too so dont let them win if it happens to u, good luck n god bless!!!!

My first candid advice? RUN! RUN AS FAST AND AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THIS DUMP!!! It is a predominantly black college and it is ghetto! I will keep my review short and sweet but I am going to as honest as hell because i would not even pray for my worst enemy to be in the situation am in because of this excuse of a college. Registration is hell it is such a long and tedious process. Be sure to double check anything your advisors tell you because if you are stuck with one who does not know anything regarding your major you are doomed. I never got to find my advisors they are never in thier office, you call and leave a voicemail and never get a call back and if you have to email them i wish you luck.I had to change advisors twice, and by the way they love to leave holds on your student accounts for the most usless of reasons making it hard for you to register for your classes and its such a chore to get the holds removed. I have been signed up for a class i do not need twice delaying my education and wasting my time and the staff are so unreliable.

This school charges you outrageous student activity fees and lab fee regardles if you take a course pertaining to them or not! Did i mention that the staff is rude?? especially at admissions? The campus security officers are pricks and will charge you a ticket for anything!!! they overuse thier authority and think they are the big boss regardless of the situaition. The school is very backward in everything technological and you can count the very few good professors with your fingers.

The students are so close minded it is unbelievable, they obviously have not been out of georgia , there are international students mostly africans but they are there to learn and dont play around and most of the time leave after a few semesters! student commission and activities is a joke! Almost every student dress like they are about to hit the club and the guys lounge around like they in the hood. Very few and serious minded students i will add. stick to them like you can cause they are few. The atmosphere is not challneging nor is it motivating i hate this school with a passion. Thier remedial classes are designed to make you fail! they do not tell you upon admission that the compass test results determines where you will be placed for math and english classes! i should have graduated this semester but this school can jack u up in more ways than one. dont beleive me? take one semester and you will flea just like i did i transferred to another shool and education wise life could not have been better.the cafeteria food is not that appetizing ans expensive as hell AMC is a nightmare waiting to happen pls friend dont do it DO NOT DO IT!! IT IS THAT BAD!!! Students are on the computer lab going on facebook and other networking sites!! going on you tube listening to music! The students are bad too people no manners no nothing they actually act like celebrities! the only thing good is you get to see the college president who greets you and asks you questions about your experience (still no progress just them building a new building) and that the class sizes are small meaning more contact with teachers but i tell you that school is not gonna bring the best out of you, they just cant.
