Quite Bright
Please consider conversing with ASU students before enrolling. Freshman orientation was full of statements that turned out to definetly not be true of the university. There is such a discrepancy between what was shared and the reality of everyday happenings.

Super Brilliant
When i first enrolled at Albany State as a first time freshman it was okay. I enjoyed the college life..just as any person who just graduated from high school would. But, after i completed my first semester things got VERY old VERY SOON! The people here are friendly for the most part, but some of them are actually FAKE and SNOBBY! Everybody talks about everybody (even people that are suppose to be "friends"). And everybody knows everybody's business since its such a small school. THERE ARE NO SECRETS AT ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY!! As far as the ciruculum goes, the classes are EXTREMELY easy. No challenges at all. I actually had harder teachers in high school!!. Now the teachers, they're actually very helpful and understanding. They'll work with you and help you whenever you need it. But, the financial aid office is HORRIBLE!! They actually stole 750 in grant money from me and when I asked where my money was at..nobody would email me back or return my calls or help me. I literally had to drive from Atlanta to Albany (3 hrs) just to get a simple explanation. Anything that has to do with finances or transferring schools...albany state sucks at! They dont keep you informed on anything. Many of my friends were kicked out of albany state without notice because of financial reasons. They just dropped their classes and told them they had to be off campus in 48 hours due to "financial issues" with no heads up about the "issues". In the 51 colleges and universities in Georgia, Albany State ranked #35. Which is not bad, because its simply based on the value of the education. But, for all of the drama and the BORING city, save your money and go to Savannah State,Georgia Southern, or Georgia State...
