I just graduated in May, and I can honestly say that Covenant changed my life. I had never been in a community that loved Jesus so much. The school really does attempt (not always successfully) to live out its motto: "In Christ all things preeminent." That means that we, as Christians, have to live our lives differently in every area, including academics. At Covenant it was about much more than just getting a degree. I was befriended by my peers, grown intellectually by my professors, and discipled in my faith. It was tough academically and everyone there is a big time sinner, but I would not trade my experience for the world.

I graduated valedictorian of my class (out of 12), got a 690 on my SAT math(90 points higher than the programs requirement), and entered Covenant's dual-degree engineering program hoping to eventually transfer to Georgia Tech. Covenant's core curriculum challenges you intellectually and spiritually on a level no other Christian undergraduate college can hope to contend. The intellectual fire power of your fellow freshman alone was humbling, and unfortunately I was unable to participate in the campus life to my satisfaction, the JV soccer program was still too competitive for a non-club player, and the hall life alone (1st bell or catacombs) is enough to fill up your entire evenings. Combined with the busy work of mathematics courses, and the high expectations of all the professors, this is not a place to go if you want all A's and a life.

If you have dietary issues, make sure their dining service can work with you
If you are sleeping less than 5 hours a night in the first three weeks of classes, drop one!
The outdoors club is hyper inflated with wanna be hikers. To the point where the last snowboarding trip was more of an email raffle than a legitimate attempt to foster interest. They need to be split into a boardsport club, hiking club, and caving club, just to organize the sea of interest.I left because I wanted to surf, eat well, and study a field requiring more creativity than Covenant's engineering program.

Question
I am just completing my very first semesterBrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
I am just completing my very first semester at Covenant and I want to transfer more than anything in the world. Coming here you are told that because the school places so much emphasis on the preeminence of Jesus Christ that every aspect is different than other universities. We have some wonderful professors, amazing views, and well, thats about it. The administration is hypocritical, chapel is mediocre, the CORE is bogus, the food is terrible, and the professors try to create a breeding ground - that is, they push marriage and are trying to breed the next generation of ultra conservative, PCA families, which is NOT okay. I can honestly say that I hate this place.
