On the surface, everyone is friendly, building each other up, and encouraging. However, as soon as you start looking behind the scenes, you see glimpses of the hypocritical, racist, abusive, and legalistic sides of Covenant. Though there are some genuinely good people here, as a whole it is definitely not worth the absurd about of hidden fees this school costs.

I am just completing my very first semesterBrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
I am just completing my very first semester at Covenant and I want to transfer more than anything in the world. Coming here you are told that because the school places so much emphasis on the preeminence of Jesus Christ that every aspect is different than other universities. We have some wonderful professors, amazing views, and well, thats about it. The administration is hypocritical, chapel is mediocre, the CORE is bogus, the food is terrible, and the professors try to create a breeding ground - that is, they push marriage and are trying to breed the next generation of ultra conservative, PCA families, which is NOT okay. I can honestly say that I hate this place.

The relentless drive to grow the school hasBrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
The relentless drive to grow the school has broadened the student body from a sliver of PCA students to the rather bland products of Southern upper-middle class evangelicalism. Basically, no one interesting will be left in a few years. Plus, the insular environment tries to balance competing ideas, but fails. If you are truly concerned about getting a PCA education, you're better off spending your money at a state school with an RUF.
