Average
CSU is a decent school if you just want to go there for an education, but in the surrounding areas there is nothing to do at all. so if you want a down right party school don't go here. Oh yeah, the nursing program is competitive

Bright
This school is a joke, right? I don't think that this school's administration gives a fish about the students. We are just numbers here. Just pay your tuition, then - who cares about you? It seems that all the money that the the school gets doesn't go anywhere near the departments, but straight to someone's deep pockets. Some professors are good as long as they don't try to stick out. Usually, it's easy to pass most courses, but the grades are worthless, cause you are not learning much. Social life is nonexistent, unless you don't belong to "Cougars for Christ." I agree with the previous reviewer about the racially divided surroundings. It's not just the city, bust the school too - you will never see whites and blacks anywhere near to each other.

If you are still at CSU or even thinking about it - RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Quite Bright
the progression of this school has come a long way from its start as a community college. Student enrollement and faculty hiring has increased with positive results but the school still lacks in several areas. the school is surrounded by a close minded city rooted in the deep south and historically racial roots. my first year of college was at Auburn until tuition became a problem. i hated CSU for my first year but have changed my attitude do to the new faculty hires. The school has become a launcing pad for recent PHD profs. from schools such as wake forest, GaTech, UK, UGA, AU, Ohio University to begin their careers as teachers. Most of the profs. in the school of Business are in their mid to late 30's. As far as academic competition, you won't find any. baseball players are kings on the campus, social life intermingles with high school and locals who live within the city. And as far as helping students with internships and career opportunities, you'd better be very self motivated and hard working with a plan to attend a better school or your SOL. Peace
Faculty Accessibility: A-, Social Life: C-
