Columbus State is now a great school withQuite BrightArt & Design Department
Columbus State is now a great school with really understanding, nice, and involved people. It has changed A LOT in just the past few years with updated policies, new buildings, and more majors and student life. With all of this progress, CSU is still continuing to grow into a better and more developed university with great people, classes, and clubs. My advice to many would first be to see if it has the major you want and then to see what all it has to offer, from its clubs at the university to things that the city of Columbus has, such as its whitewater rafting, zip lining, or the beautiful River Walk!

Clearly, CSU is not Georgia Tech or Auburn. However, for a tier-3 school it really is a decent education for your money. If you are an above-average student and can join the Honors program, do so. That makes a huge difference in the level of education you'll receive. You will have access to smaller classes with more challenging coursework. Also, what you make of your degree matters. I'm working toward a BS in Biology with a minor in either Chemistry or Mathematics. There's nothing easy about it, regardless of what school you attend. I agree this is easier than I expected it to be, but at the same time you get out of it what you're willing to put in. Ask the people who are complaining what their major is and GPA is, then we'll talk about the ease of getting through CSU.

CSU is a great school. Teachers work with you and care about your progress. Most students who don't like it only go for the core courses, but the majors they offer are terrific. I highly recommend this school! It's not an easy ride, but you will learn so much.
