 | Quite Bright | Emory used to have a good reputation. Now, no one knows what the true statistics are. Since they lied about their academic prowess, they owe every student who enrolled during the time it misrepresented itself a refund of tuition and expenses. They should also pay for any student who wishes to transfer to a school with valid high criteria by paying the transfer student's tuition and expenses at the new school. Many people and their parents were misled by Emory's lies and may well have chosen the school based on those lies. They are entitled to remedy. | Education Quality: A, Faculty Accessibility: D | | | |

| | Bright | Emory is, well, Emory I suppose. There are pros and cons to this university. From my perspective this University is great if you are NOT pre-med. A lot of students are pre-med at Emory, and the school and professors know this. They purposefully make it very difficult for pre-med students to weed people out. The average for most of my pre-med classes have been ranging failing to a C+. There has not been one pre-med requisite class that I have been in that has had a class average over a C+. Very few professors that teach Pre-med classes are there to teacher, they are more involved in their own research, which in the past few years has had much success, i.e. Dr. Dennis Liotta. However, Emory does have some pros. It has a strong Business school and a strong reputation for the liberal arts. There are a lot of great professors and a lot of crummy ones, like any school. Emory is very Pre-professional, i.e. Pre-business, Pre-med, Pre-Law. I haven't met anyone in my 4 years at Emory who didn't fit into that category. Emory for most people is like a stepping stone. It creates a culture of just regurgitating info. and attentiveness to grades only, rather than what some would consider a conventional pursuit of education. While people do enjoy their time here it is real obvious that they came just for the name, which isn't bad if that's all you are looking for out of college, but just a warning for others who are looking for more. Have you guys ever seen "Into the Wild" the book/movie that was about that Emory student who just decided to run away from civilization? Haha, food for thought! | Campus Aesthetics: A+, Innovation: C | | | |
