To tell u the truth. You are waisting your time going to this school. South Georgia College is in the middle of nowhere plus it a very racist town especially to African-American Descent. The Students are being overcharge for the fees at the school and the spring semester they always lose student loans. Their explanation is that the computer erased it by accident. Actually, the school is pocketing student money. South Georgia College is located across the street from a extremely dangerous neighborhood called "D-Block." Anyone can get on campus without administrator's approval, therefore, the school location is dangerous. The food has great health concerns as well and many students have caught food poisoning and other food allergies. The food is nasty and the school show no concern of their student's health. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. MAKE THIS SCHOOL YOUR LAST CHOICE OF EDUCATION. THANK YOU

My advice to anyone that is planning on attending this college is to be prepared for a rude awakening. This college is in a small town that doesn't have much to offer, but the atmosphere here is great. Sometimes we tend to be overlooked due to our size, but what we have to offer are dedicated teachers, faculty, and staff whose goals are to best prepare your for future endeavors and study. We have been called the Harvard of the south and as opposed to GPA's dropping after graduation, most students who move on to four year schools find that their GPS'a actually increase. As is the case with most schools, there will be the occasional closeminded, ignorant comment from a student, but that's life. Taking all that this college has to offer into consideration - athletics(we have one of the best soccer teams in the state), education, professors, resources, and accessibilty - South Georgia College is a wonderful place to live and learn.

South Georgia College is good and bad, but it depends on where your coming from. SGC is located in Douglas, Ga, wayyyyyyy down deep in the back woods of Georgia. If your not from South Georgia—like me—then it’s going to be hard for you to get adjusted to life here. The biggest thing we have in town is Wal-Mart, really. The students are ok. If you’re gay, this probably isn’t the right school for you. People can be very close-minded here. But, on the other hand, if your just the average Joe Blow, it will be ok, I guess. The teachers are awesome. A lot of the teachers have experince from other places and bring that into the classroom. Since it is a two-year school the class sizes are small, so teachers get to know your name.
Scholastic Success: A+, Social Life: F
