In keeping with not replying to the reviews of others I must day first of all that the campus infrastructure is nice and yes up to par with other DIVision 1 scholls HBCU or not. The school however need to work on discepline and student/ Professor interrelationship and MUST develop a strong mentoring program between current students and Alumni; they have to come back and give thier feedback to faculty on what society is looking for in one hand and on the other actually serve as a mentor to freshman and seniors alike in coaching them on what to develop and how to prepare themselves for teh world which the schooln turn will benefit from by having even stronger and brighter students wanting to attend this school. And last but not least this is a division I school "MEAC"/NCAA for us men that holds a larger percentage to which schools we'll be attending before we even begin to look st academivs "Black, Brown or White" and that is teh truth so beef up teh basketball and football teams and sit back and what the brighter students flock inbut then remains retaining them!

The Savannah Area is gorgeous! I would definately live here I loved the historic, warm, cozy atmosphere. But this school sucks!! Most of the students are snooty and the faculty think there job is to do nothing and get an attitude when asked for help. If you don't like wasting your time do NOT attend this university.

I am a non tradtional student. I thimk the campus is beautiful and the instructors are well knowledgeable on their field. I have a problem with the conduct of students while in class and that the policies and procedures printed in the handbook is not being exercised. I watch the discussed looks on the faces of these professors everyday when they are trying to give a lecture. Students are using profanity, having personal conversations while the instructor is teaching, they are texting, on the phone, listening to i-pods, and on facebook. When the instructor asks them to put away their electronics, they are met with a negative comment, won't put it away, or use profanity. It distracts the students who are trying to learn. When a fellow non traditional student went to advise an authority about a situation in her class, she was told that she is a student just like everyone else and it is not her place to say anything to another student, she should let the professor handle it. That's why she was there in the office in the first place because the instructor did not do anything. When does it become a university? Pants below the waist, girls wearing shorts at the butt, anything with Pink on the butt is Victoria Secret, oscene writing on the shirts, while class is going on, you can hear students talking loud and using profanity. What type of environment is this? I really hate that there is not another campus offering Social work because I would leave this school. They are making a landmark institution into a ghetto haven. So sad!
