If you have other available options AVOID this University. I am a Dean's List student and the professors have been kind and helpful for the most part, but the administration is horrible!!! They are inefficient, lazy and rude, and I promise that I am not exaggerating. I am actually a slightly older student who has attended a previous institution, thus have a frame of reference for comparison. The administration (Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrars Office, Public Safety, etc.) treat each student as if they are an incompetent child and absolutely practice ageism; each time I am snubbed via email or phone, I visit the office directly and attitudes completely change once they realize that I am an older student, mother and professional. There are plenty of accredited Universities in Georgia. Avoid this one!!!

SUWG has a lot of teachers who are extremely educated in their field which is great. The main problem that I have experienced is they do not have enough classes available for the students especially major specific classes. The classes that they do have are often small (20-35 students) and hard to get into.

At first I really liked the campus and the people, however, they have had an influx of really GHETTO people, most of time, except early in the morning, I feel like I am in the projects because people have loud music playing outside their cars, loud people (near screaming) at each other, and people leaving garbage everywhere. The reason I am to westga is because of the small atmosphere and focused students. I hope to transfer to a better college. The school itself is what I wanted such as professors and stuff. I would not recommend this for serious students because the atmosphere is not very good.
