The professors are approachable and want their students to excell. I attended a much larger university (University of Florida) before making the transition to VSU. VSU is superlative in ALL aspects to a large university where the students are just a number and the professors are very absorbed in their own research. VSU is the way to go! About %80 of these Faculty memebers are closed minded and don't teach you correct habits on your horn. One studio in general you should aviod. The trumpet studio with Dr. Kirk. He teaches aweful habits and takes all the creativity out of music by trying to confrom you into his little box. I speak from experience. PLEASE WATCH OUT TRUMPET PLAYERS. GO SOMEWHERE LIKE KENNESAW STATE OR UGA. THOSE ARE MUCH BETTER MUSIC SCHOOLS. Campus Aesthetics: A+, Education Quality: F Have a Question?
