When initially signing with briar cliff I was fooled I came on a recruiting visit and thought it was amazing but now after two years I know it's absolutely retarded. There are a bunch of no good people who live up here on the cliff. Students are issued master keys and they will break into your room and steal your belongings and briar cliff security are all aged about 50-90 years old absolutely old they are walking fossils and won't do a thing about stolen things. Nothing gets done on campus it's grimy and nasty. The tuition is almost 40,000 and there are no security cameras. The campus is ran my sisters and its suppository a Franciscan college building a better community, no it is dog shit ... Don't go here !!!! The roads have pot holes every couple feet and the baseball and softball fields are the nicest luxury. There is one main education hall that is half nice and half ancient looking why do something half ass do it to the fullest . The dorms are absolutely horrible alverno toller baxter and noonan my dorm hall is nasty someone keeps pissing in the corner of the hall and it wreaks and no one does anything the janitor lady complains about cleaning to us everyday at 7 am and it's annoying and she's a little snob. There is no parking that is helpful at briar cliff the buildings are so close together there was no planning when they decided to build it .... The president of briar cliff pockets probably half of the student fees a year and nothing is ever done. They try to fine every student for all they have for walking in a disorderly manor basically it's garbage. There are 50% African American students and alot of the are involved with drugs and illegal things there has been arrests and many things but briar cliff allows then to come back. I am a white man and I can barely afford this place because the office of admissions or business office constantly wants my money but there is no way the black kids are paying money to come here that's why briar cliff is losing so much money. The football team is infested with criminals... Plus they haven't won 10 games in the past 5 years they issue scholarships to kids all over the country and don't recruit locally which they obviously don't go see the kids play and they have no idea what they are doing when it comes to football... The college should drop the program it's garbage .....they share a football field with a highschool team in Sioux city. The basketball teams are the best sports asset at briar cliff than followed by soccer, baseball softball track and wrestling. Id say the best part about briar cliff java city most of my friends and my coaches when it comes to fun at briar cliff there isn't any don't come here I promise it's a wise choice I'm trying to get out

The school offers good programs and the faculty is pretty good. What is horrific about the school is the condition the school is in. The campus is located on a large cliff (The name is Briar "Cliff") and is completely isolated from the city. The facilities need a much needed facelift. The basketball court would have dead spots, the soccer and baseball fields had holes, and the football team shares a stadium with a high school that the city of Sioux City seems to care more about. Scholarships are good and are quite attractive, but while living up there I felt like I was treated very second class with lots of people that seemed to be incredibly sheltered. The only thing that keeps someone from leaving is the friends that they make. Everything else about the school (dorms, food, facilities, building conditions, activities, parking, etc) is awful and not worth your time.
