The College of Business has worked so hardQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
The College of Business has worked so hard to become "corporate" and streamlined - that the student has become the obstacle to further growth. The school gets paid, the professor's get paid. The student gets assigned to a generic academic advisor - similar to High School. The student also gets recent Phd grads and/or Phd candidates. The majority of Major course work is taught by inexperienced faculty. The faculty's lack of educational training and classroom management skill development is shockingly obvious. Your best bet for a decent education at ISU's College of Business is to take as many classes through the LAS departments as possible. The majority of your major required courses will be washout courses of 60 -100 students taught by associate professor's with less than 5 years teaching experience. At the same time, non-business majors will be offered the same course(s) with course sizes of 10-20 taught by full professors, many tenured. $/$ ISU Business Majors do not get the value they pay for.

Question
I am an accouting major and from Minnesota.BrightAccounting
I am an accouting major and from Minnesota. I chose to come here because it was my parents Alma mater. The school has horrible acedemics and the teachers are the most unhelpful you will ever meet. If I had the chance I would pick a different university. I advise anyone considering this school NOT to attend the school.

Question
Iowa State was a huge mistake.Economics
Iowa State was a huge mistake. The atmosphere and attitudes on behalf of staff and students alike were horrible. I regret ever going there. I went on and graduated from a different university, and was much happier there. The bigotry and small mindedness at Iowa State was overwhelming. They are basically a bunch of elitists, who are full of themselves, yet, could not get in to a better school. From looking at the current statistics of the school and reading on current events, the university appears to have gone further downhill. I did not receive a good quality of education there.
