Iowa Western Community College - Comments and Student Experiences |
Students here also get good grades for two semesters and then IWCC makes you take tests using ROC - Then they manually drop your grade to F on purpose.
the Tour this year of the Dorms looked good since you get to see the first apartment near the elevator, what you did not see is the damage done by burst pipes when the staff did not turn on the heat. there is tons of mold in the place and pipes that are damaged.eletrical outlests and light switches are not good at all, they have shorts and usually start to smoke if not get hot. a lot of times they just dont work.usually the PC are not updated or working properly. and IT forces students to use Google Chrome since the college is being paid to solicit the product. if you use another Browser, check your statements on how much you pay. It looks like they might be charging for non google services.
The pc's are never updated and give you the blue screen of death. iT is neglecting.
Roc the online campus system will give you a F. For taking tests/quizzes/homework. Most students experience this, and IT only gives wrongful help. The IT staff obviously only know two things to clear cache and the word "virus" but not knowing what a virus is, apparently.
Go up and talk with them and they will say that no one reported issues, even though probably 50% of the student body has reported issues.
The campus has had some shootings on campus with one person wounded. And windows on campus shot out. The staff is not replacing any of the windows shot out.
There is no heat during the winter or cold days. Which you pay for and instead have the pipes burst. The pipes burst over spring break and the college used an act of god as a reason not to pay for the damage the college insure the students and repay them.
Our light switches buzz and often don't work. Vandalism is a massive problem here. Walls are often punched through, ceiling tiles are often pulled down an broken, ... $3000 + books+ classes/fees = about $4000 A semester. This college is worth only 1/2 that if it's worth it at all. Don't expect much from here.
