Positive Negative Neutral Advice
As other people have written unless your anBrightOther
As other people have written unless your an extremely hardcore catholic and conservative then DO NOT attend Loras College. I attended for four years. Coming from Chicago the transition from big city to small town was horrible. Dubuque has nothing to offer in terms of entertainment for the average student. Loras itself also offers horrible things for students to do over the weekend or during the week. C.A.B. or college activities board wasted money on events that no one attended. Loras College doesn't remotely come close to giving students an actual college experience. Because if they did then all the students who were from Iowa wouldn't have gone home every single weekend. I will never give money to Loras because I know it will go to waste on some pointless project that in no way enhances the college experience for anyone. Do yourself a favor and choose any other college/university in Iowa.

Question
I graduated from Loras College with a degreeFinance
I graduated from Loras College with a degree in Finance. In my very strong opinion, I believe for me personally Loras College was absolutely a waste if you want to go into business. The skills they teach are irrelevant and the education is diluted. I would of been much better off going to community college or not going to college at all to earn a dog sh@T degree from Loras College.

Question
If you are looking at Loras College asBiology
If you are looking at Loras College as a possible choice for undergrade I beg you to think twice. I went to Loras for 4 years and was in the science program. I was completely unprepared for grad school. I basically had to reteach myself everything when I took the MCAT. Unless you are a hard core Catholic, don't go there! No matter how successful I become I will never give anything back to Loras College and neither will anyone else I know who graduated from there. No one who works in the administration, business, alumni departments has a clue what is really going on. They have a ton of rules for no reason and because they are a private college they do whatever they want. Please, if you are interested in going to school in Dubuque Iowa, look into Clarke or the University of Dubuque. Both of these schools continuously have large donations that better their campus and their students. Loras continues to go downhill and does not have the proper resources to eduate their students.
