Good school, lots of chicago suburbanites. Great for student athletes... competitive club and varsity sports along with challenging coarse load.

I had a great four years at Augustana. I was very involved with the campus academically and socially. They have great support for the liberal arts, arts, music and athletics. The religous options are very nice there too. The local Greek system and leadership opportunites serve the campus very well. I would reccomend Augustana to anyone who wants gain a great education as well as be enlightened in several different fields. Augustana being as small as it is, creates a family sense of belonging so most student get along well and know each other.

While I did not find the student body as intellectual or open-minded as I had expected, the classroom experiences made up for that. The professors in both of my departments (double major) were very approachable and they challenged me to grow as a student and a person. One of the benefits of a small college is the intimacy within each department; some have only three or four professors, so they see you as an individual and can advise you more accurately because they've watched your personal progress.
Campus Aesthetics: A+, Surrounding City: C-
