If you are not "just out of highQuite BrightPolitical Science
If you are not "just out of high school" this school is not for you. I am in my 30's and I feel that, in some cases, I truly know more than the professors. The cost is almost $1k/credit hour and I had similar education at community college, which was $300/credit hour.

Most of my professors seemed to be recent college graduates, one of mine used the student's assignments in order to complete his (or her) own PhD.The professors in Math, Spanish, computer were great, the others had little to no experience in their given field.

Also, the attendance policy seems more designed for high schoolers. In any class, having more than two absences (barring illness... with doctor's note, or death in the family) automatically drops your final grade by one letter. This is fine for those who live on campus but for those who have a commute, who work, and who have kids it is improbable.

Question
I graduated from one of the largest highQuite BrightFine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
I graduated from one of the largest high schools in Chicago and then went on to go to engineering school in Milwaukee, I found out very quickly that that wasn't for me so I looked into photography programs and found Dominican through one of my best friends. The school is great in almost every aspect, sure the food is usually pretty awful and it has a small social life, but take it from me (who didn't excel socially in high school) I have really grown here. I have made a ton of good friends over the past 3 years that there always seems to be someone to talk to, even during weekends (as a resident I frequently enjoy staying on campus during weekends). Those few people that complained about there not being enough parties shouldn't have applied for a small school but should have gone to a big state school if they wanted their college experience to be about partying, (and besides having an on campus party in the res halls is a horrible idea anyways). The academics are what a college experience should be and they are fantastic at Dominican, when I transferred I had a D- gpa and now I have a strong B+ gpa. I have excelled here and am glad I chose Dominican, it really has become my home.
