I feel that Governors State University offers an education that lives up to its charter. It provides a quality education at a reasonable price to Jr. College grads and tansferees. Many of the students are working and older students. There are no biases with regard to age, gender, ethnicity, race, creed, disability, or any other factor. The professors are in most cases deeply dedicated to the work of teaching. Like any other school, there are professors you hope to avoid, but in general GSU offers a tremendous opportunity and makes it easily accesible to all.
Preparedness: A, Reputation: B+

GSU is a university geared toward serious students. The experience is exactly what you make of it. I suggest that the students looking for a social life or other aspects of a "traditional" college experience look at a four year institution with a reputation as a "party" school. GSU is for students who actually want to learn while at college.
Education Quality: A+, Campus Aesthetics: C
