My choice to come to this university was probably the worst decision I have ever made. Campus Police is a joke and had security that would sexually harass students. I do not feel safe with these people. The University has a mission statement which they do not follow. They are very self-absorbed and do not really care about anyone unless you impact the faculty/ preseident in some way (mostly bad). They spend all their money on landscaping. The quality of food is very bad and the workers are very unsanitary. You will not get the college experience at all. Residence life is strict and will write you up. There are no huge parties, not many good bars or anything fun surrounding the campus.

I had a bad experience at this university. I definitely recommend you avoid this place. It says on paper that it's a Catholic university. However, members of the theology department frequently teach contrary to the Catholic faith. The level of anti-Christianity from the philosophy department was overwelming. Certain people in University Ministry were very rude. A journal (First Things) rated Lewis University the 6th least Catholic university.

I was a commuter student at Lewis. I took most of my basic courses at a community college, then transfered over for my major.
The courses were a joke. Most of the teachers were VERY lenient with students. I remember classmates give countless excuses for late assignments, exams...
One teacher didn't even change up his tests every year! Yes, it was THE SAME TEST every year. Therefore classmates had answers to the exams.Even worse, my videotape editing professor couldn't figure out the editing machines! He just sat in front of the machines while classmates conversed. I really didn't socialize too much at Lewis, but honestly, there's not much to do there. I once went to see a world famous magician in the student's lounge. Only 6 people attended.
