It is probably the best Christian School in the United States... for those who want to go into vocational ministry. I don't mean that in any sort of negative way. The school's mission statement makes its clear that they want to train men and women to be ministers of the Bible. (It is said often on campus that "the Bible is our Middle Name". If you are uncertain about whether or not you want to go into vocational ministry after your education, this is probably not the school for you.If you are certain you want to serve in some form of vocational ministry whether it be pastor, missionary, elementary teacher, music, counseling, etc., this is the best place to be. Students are cream of the crop in full-time ministry, though don't let that fool you, there are still those that can bring the rest down. Overall great school. I loved the school, the professors and made many friends. It is a school where you go if you are a Christian and you want to grow in your beliefs. I did not go into full time Christian work and found it a great learning environment. Many people go to a liberal arts school and never get a job in their field. When I was a student there were also people who disliked the school. That is true of all schools. But many more felt honored and excited to be there and to have the many opportunities that were available just by being in downtown Chicago area. The problem with so many websites like this is that pretty much the only people who write are those who are very unhappy with their experience. I still believe that you get out of education and that experience what you are willing to put into it. Some want to play the "blame" game instead. I find it surprising that many of those unhappy did not just leave at the end of the first semester but went there for several years. Makes you believe that the school wasn't the only problem. I would suggest that people looking at a school be careful in deciding something totally on the negative comments found in this or any other website about ANY school.
