I was always under the impression that professors came to class, taught, and left. At Olivet I was proven wrong. Professors here take time to invest in the lives of their students. Some will stay after with a group of students to answer questions or perhaps even talk about subjects unrelated to the class material. It really is the mission of the Professors to be here for the students and that attitude is evident in and out of the classroom.

Super Brilliant
I came to ONU after finishing my geneds at a com college. Well Olivet does have its problems i give you that. There are people whom look as a deviant if you do not tow the right wing line. The Rules are very strict, and Chapel it does not really do anything for you. One of the keys i have found when going to ONU is to set up your classes so that none of them fall before or right after chapel which will prevent you from having to go, failing that make up a story to get out of it. I would recommend coming to ONU if you live off campus, in fact it is a must to do so!! That way you dont have deal with BS with the RA. Overall though if you go here you will meet alot of people who are very and i mean VERY jesus freaks. However, some of those people are not to bad once you get to know them. I do not understand why people are having problems with evolution being spoken at this school I do it all the time and have not be marked down because of it, i also cursed in class and have not been fined for it either. Hell my OT class had a prof whom supported Evolution, and taught it in his class. The profs here are great ya some of them can be alittle full of it, but most really care about the students. So ya if you just try and be yourself there and dont give a shit about what the others think.

I was scared to death coming into school, leaving behind a great high school career. But the faculty, residential life staff, and students were all very gracious and caring. I found my place here. I have also found tons of great opportunities for resume-boosters and job experience.
