I have attended here before when I was younger and am now returning to have a career change. I have found that the students have greatly changed and do not try as much as they should. They want the instructors to do the homework for them, don't want to attend class and tests are a waste of time for them. The instructors here are very patient, and bend over backwards to help these students. The facilities here are beautiful, with plenty of trees and flowers on the grounds, large parking lots, and picnic tables available as well as benches to sit on. What people should know is that the place offers over 100 degree and certificate programs, has a Center for Academic Success in which students go to receive help in almost any subject that they might need special tutoring, and the instructors are all instructors not teachers aids or assistants like at the big universities. It is getting a bit crowded having been built to hold 9000 students and now has about twice that number.

Super Brilliant
It's a pretty good community college, but I mostly just came here because it's affordable and just about everyplace else, even state schools, was too expensive. It doesn't offer a lot of the classes I need to transfer to my top choice schools. The extra-curricular life, apart from sports, is practically dead. There aren't a lot of opportunities to meet people because you just go to class, leave, and then never see eachother again. There are nice facilities, though. The computer lab and the sports fields are all in good condition. Parking is ridiculous, though. You have to get there at least ten or fifteen minutes before class if you want any hope of getting a good parking spot. Basically, if you can go someplace else, go there.

A good community college. yes, most of the profeessors
graduated from top notch schools and they teach here to prepare students for U of I and other top school in the country. Go here and study. don't just get your financial aid package and drop courses,in either way you are the looser. Classes are really as you may expect them. I used to have sleepless night just because I need an A.what i do advice you is that the physic department is weak.
