Positive Negative Neutral Advice
My experience has definitely been mixed.BrightReligion/Religious
My experience has definitely been mixed. I will give the positive first. In my department, I have professors that actually care for your growth in the Lord. I have friends that are on fire for God. I have grown a lot in the Lord the past year and a half. Not to mention, a great library and the food is above average. Also, being near to Chicago is always a plus.

But here are the negatives, there is a lot of complacency on-campus. There are a lot of two-faced people. With no one caring about "Trinity expectations", they can get away with "unspeakables" on a Saturday and go to church on Sunday, as if nothing happens. People expect Chapel three days a week is enough, when its not. How you are judged is heavily based on how you can interact on-campus. It's extremely cliquey, if you are an athlete, you hang with athletes, music student with music students, etc. So the advice part. If you are looking for a Christ-centered university and expect to grow in Christ, the recipes are here. But it is your responsibility to put it together and put yourself in the oven and grow in God. Growth doesn't come on a silver platter. And it's like that at any Christian College. Recipes are 1)Be in God's word and pray 2)find the RIGHT, Christ-centered friends, 3)let chapel enhance your walk with Christ, don't rely on it. (Find a Church to get plugged in at) 4) Don't stay in the "Bubble" be out in public (by public, I mean off campus.) Don't let judgement rule your life. There is judgement at every university. If you want to prove wrong to judgement, just live your life and people will shut-up. And if you are an athlete that doesn't love or believe in God and/or expect this college to be the gateway to the big-times. Only one football player and one baseball player made it to the big times in the past 12 years. And you never heard of their name. So if you are in it for the sports, don't waste 30 grand, to play a sport that will get you nowhere professional. If you are an athlete that loves God and want to grow, I highly recommend it. And for the person that loves to party, its not a party school either and you will probably hate being here.

Question
There are many students that seems to disappearNot so brightPsychology
There are many students that seems to disappear throughout the week. It's a small campus, but there are still people that stay in there rooms and don't interact with people. Many students were homeschooled throughout their academic career and as a result, most are incredibly socially awkward. Beyond that, although people are friendly, most are awkward and don't know how to interact with others.

The lighting on campus leaves something to be desired. Often students (especially female students) do not feel safe walking back to their dorm from the student center. There is a severe lack of lighting everywhere because the surrounding town will not allow the university to install them. Overall, this school is what you make of it. If you put effort into getting involved and making friends you will have a good experience, if you stay in your room and complain about how dumb the school is, you won't like it at all.

Question
The social life is nonexistent everyone mysteriously vanisheQuite Bright
The social life is nonexistent everyone mysteriously vanishes as to where they go I wouldntknow if you aren't on a sports team having a groupnof friends seems like an overbearing challenge at times I wish I had stayed at my previous school even though it was rural there were definitely more activities planned on the weekend there were nicer people that you knew cared here certain individuals are close minded come from sheltered backgrounds and are somewhat judgmental and close minded some of the student here behave like snobs with the attitude of I have a bf or gf if you aren't in a relationship you get judged and treated in strange ways if guys and girls hang out nosy people use it as an opportunity to criticize in other words being a small campus gossip travels and people don't know how to stay out of my business if there's one thing I've learned at trinity it is stay busy or you will feel alone the couple scene at this school is pathetic couples here are shallow and inconsiderate to those around them and tend to exclude the social vibes I get in the union are weird it is a difficult thing transferring schools but more difficult when judgement never seems to fully disappear
