This is my third year here and I cannot stand it anymore. I do not know why I have not transfered by now. I first started out in the AD Program and hated it. The professors are horrible and rude. Also, all the art students are rude and think they are better than everyone. I did not like it AT ALL. I then switched to LAS studying Communication. As a major, I did like it better. Yet again, I did not like any of the professors. I had maybe one I was "okay" with. Most all of them do not help you and are not understanding if you have a personal issue or need an extension on an assignment. Personally, I feel like they just want you to fail. The advisor for the communications department gives the worst advice, is not helpful, super self-absorbed and honestly would rather tell you her issues then help you with yours. I have never been more frustrated! UIC has been the worst 3 years ever and a total waste of money. No one is efficient here or really cares about helping you. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I worked hard and received my MBA from a top 50 program. Lesson is do it right the first time. I just transferred into a new major, and things are so much easier. It is very hard to get into Biology classes until you're a Senior.On the whole, it is not a bad school, but it is a commuter school. Education Quality: A+, Campus Maintenance: D- Have a Question?
