Positive Negative Neutral Advice
First off, this University is a good schoolAverageSocial Work
First off, this University is a good school to go to community wise. It's small, everyone pretty much knows everyone. Everyone is friendly. Your professors do usually help you out when it's needed or give you advice or resources that can help you.

Cons: it's expensive so before you choose a private university, look elsewhere. SERIOUSLY! Another con is that they kind of trick you in a way. They suck you in and then before you know it, they screw you. I was majoring in Social Work. I decided that I needed to switch to online because I couldn't continue to pay for the fees of being on campus. I talked to several people about doing online. I was sent to someone who could help me transition to online. We got everything set up, my schedule around and everything. A couple weeks before I was to start my online classes, I got a call saying they weren't going to allow me to do online. The reason was because one of my professors/advisor wanted me to stay in the classroom and not do online. So they refused to let me do online. At this time, it was too late for me to get into another University. They waited too long to tell me that I couldn't do online when they had plenty of time to let me know before it was too late to get into another school but didn't. Also because it was too late for me to get into another college, I lost my scholarship which was basically paying for everything for me to continue school. Since I lost that scholarship, I have no way to continue my education. So thanks to Huntington University I have half a degree not finished and I'm in a lot of debt that I can't pay.

Question
Huntington University is definitely the type of schoolQuite BrightEnglish
Huntington University is definitely the type of school where it takes the right person to enjoy. If you're interested in partying or always having lots to do on campus, you're going to be disappointed. There is usually only one party per weekend (often on a Friday night) and it's basically always the same exact people. Getting invited to these parties is pretty hard too, considering they need to be kept low-key to keep people from getting suspended from sports.

On the other hand, if you take your faith seriously and you want a friendly environment where everyone cares for each other, Huntington is a perfect fit! The people here are so nice. The first thing you notice during orientation is how easy it is to make friends. Everyone is just so approachable and kind, it's almost overwhelming!

The education here is excellent. I couldn't imagine a school where the professors cared more about their students than Huntington. They're always willing to take time and sit down with you after class to help you understand something better. If you have problems with a course, it's also VERY easy to get a tutor for free.

The food is pretty standard for college. The Sunday brunches are phenomenal, but otherwise things are pretty average in that regard.

The campus is attractive. I won't say I haven't seen better, but it's definitely pretty to look at (especially in the fall). It's small, but very well-kept. Fort Wayne is also only 30 minutes away if you're looking to have some fun on weekends.
