ISU's interior design department is virtually unknown outside of Terre Haute, where most of its graduates stay and either get married or end up working at a different job. I moved to Louisville, and had to compete with Purdue and IU and UK grads. If they see you're not from a well-known school, you get shuffled to the back. In this economy, you can't afford to pick a school just because its cheap or easy. Unless you have an enomrous amount of natural talent and major determination. Choose carefully a design program where the professors and alumni are closely connected with the industry and major firms. Purdue is a safe bet if you want to stay in state.
